🎯 Our Purpose
The Open Tag Group is dedicated to providing a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion (or lack thereof), or technology choices.
We do not tolerate harassment of participants in any form. This code of conduct applies to all community spaces, including events, forums, social media, and any other community-organized activities.

🚫 2. Unacceptable Behavior
The following behaviors are considered harassment and are unacceptable within our community:
Harassment and Discrimination
- • Offensive comments related to gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, mental illness, neuro(a)typicality, physical appearance, body size, race, age, regional discrimination, political or religious affiliation
- • Unwelcome comments regarding a person's lifestyle choices and practices
- • Deliberate misgendering or use of 'dead' or rejected names
- • Gratuitous or off-topic sexual images or behavior
Disruptive Behavior
- • Deliberate intimidation, stalking, or following
- • Sustained disruption of talks, events, or discussions
- • Unwanted photography or recording
- • Pattern of inappropriate social contact
Harmful Communication
- • Threats of violence or violent language directed against another person
- • Incitement of violence or harassment toward any individual
- • Posting or threatening to post personally identifying information ("doxing")
- • Inappropriate attention or unwanted physical contact
Platform Abuse
- • Spam, trolling, or deliberate misinformation
- • Impersonation of others or false representation
- • Copyright or intellectual property violations
- • Any other conduct that could reasonably be considered inappropriate
📢 3. Reporting Guidelines
If You Experience or Witness Unacceptable Behavior
If you are subject to or witness unacceptable behavior, or have any other concerns, please notify the community organizers as soon as possible.
How to Report
What to Include
- • Description of the incident
- • Date, time, and location
- • Names of people involved
- • Screenshots or evidence (if available)
- • Any witnesses present
- • Your contact information (unless anonymous)
Confidentiality: All reports will be handled with discretion and confidentiality. We will respect your privacy and only share information on a need-to-know basis for addressing the situation.
⚖️ 4. Consequences of Unacceptable Behavior
Unacceptable behavior from any community member will not be tolerated. Anyone asked to stop unacceptable behavior is expected to comply immediately.
1. Warning
A private, written warning with an explanation of the violation and expected behavior change.
2. Temporary Suspension
Temporary suspension from community participation for a specified period.
3. Permanent Ban
Permanent expulsion from the community for severe or repeated violations.
4. Legal Action
In cases involving illegal activity, we may involve law enforcement.
Fair Process: All enforcement actions will be applied fairly and consistently. Community members who violate these guidelines will have the opportunity to appeal decisions through our established process.

This Code of Conduct applies within all community spaces, and also applies when an individual is officially representing the community in public spaces.

🛡️ 6. Enforcement Responsibilities
Community leaders are responsible for clarifying and enforcing our standards of acceptable behavior and will take appropriate and fair corrective action in response to any behavior that they deem inappropriate, threatening, offensive, or harmful.

This Code of Conduct is adapted from the Contributor Covenant, version 2.1, and includes elements from other respected community codes of conduct.
